Stéphane Honoré was born in Hyères, France, in 1972. He received the Pharm.D. and the Ph.D. degrees from the Université de la méditerranée, Marseille, France, in 2000 and 2001, respectively. In 2001-2002, he was a Research Fellow at the Laboratory of L. Wilson and MA Jordan in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, University of California Santa Barbara. From 2002 to 2006, Honoré was a Research Fellow at the Laboratory of C. Briand, Université de la Méditérranée. He is mainly interested in microtubule dynamics and pharmacology of microtubule-targeting drugs. In 2006, he obtained a permanent position of an Associate Professor/Hospital Practitioner at the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Marseille, Université de la méditerranée. He is presently working at the INSERM unit 911, Centre de Recherche en Oncologie Biologique et Oncopharmacologie. He is mainly interested in the role of microtubules dynamics and microtubule-end tracking proteins in cancer progression and in the pharmacology of anticancer agents. As a hospital practitioner at the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Marseille, he is responsible for clinical trials management.
