Shayessteh Dadfarnia received his B.S. degree in mathematics and chemistry, in 1982, from APSU, Ten, USA, M.S. degree in chemistry emphasis in analytical chemistry, in 1984, from MTSU, Ten, USA, and Ph.D. degree in analytical chemistry, in 1992, from Shiraz University, Iran. From 1991 to 1994, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher; Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield, UK, and from 1999 to 2005, he was an Associate Professor, Faculty of Chemistry, Yazd University, Iran. Since 2005, he has been a Professor, Faculty of Chemistry, Yazd University, Iran. From 1994 to 1997, he was the Head of Chemistry Department of Yazd University, from 1996 to 2006, the Dean of Graduate School of Yazd University, and from March 2006 to October 2006, the Vice President for Research of Yazd University. His teaching subjects include general chemistry, fundamental and instrumental analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, advanced analytical chemistry, separation, atomic spectroscopy, molecular spectroscopy, and nonaqueous chemistry. His areas of research include FIA-AS, ion transport through liquid membrane, solid phase extraction, liquid-liquid microextraction, and solid phase microextraction.
