Karen L. Reckamp
Karen L. Reckamp, M.D., works as an Assistant Professor in the Divisions of Hematology and Medical Oncology at the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center in Duarte, CA, USA. She obtained her M.D. degree at the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine in 1998, and she was trained in internal medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, MO, USA. She completed her Fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA. She has also completed the M.A. degree in clinical investigation at UCLA, Department of Biomathematics. Her professional interests include translational research in lung cancer with an emphasis on the investigation of novel approaches. She has incorporated laboratory-based research with the development of investigator-initiated clinical trials. She serves currently as the Principal Investigator for multiple Phase I, II, and III trials evaluating novel targeted agents for lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies. She is a Member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Society of Hematology, National Lung Cancer Partnership, and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer. She has published manuscripts in journals such as Clinical Cancer Research, Cancer Research, Journal of Immunology, Molecular Cancer, Drug Resistance Updates, and Journal of Thoracic Oncology and Clinical Lung Cancer. She served as an Editor for a lung cancer textbook and as a Reviewer for multiple medical journals.
