Marc Miscevic

Toulouse University, France

Marc Miscevic was born in the south of France in 1969. He received the degree of engineer in energetic field in 1993 and the Ph.D. degree in 1997 at the University of Provence, Marseille, France. His Ph.D. degree thesis was about the heat transfer enhancement without and with liquid-vapor phase change using porous material (metallic foams, fibrous media). He is Associate Professor at the University of Toulouse since 1999 where he performs his research activities within the "Research Group in Energetics, Plasma and Non-Equilibrium Phenomena" (GREPHE) of Laboratory on Plasma and Conversion of Energy (LAPLACE). His area of research focuses on flows with phase change in narrow channels (vaporization, condensation, boiling). Since several years, he manages a project on the development of Smart Interfaces for the Transfer of Heat (SMITH project) involving both passive and active techniques for the control and the enhancement of heat and mass transfers. The main applications of these works are the cooling of electronic equipment, the microgravity, and the design of heat exchangers.
