Victor M. Lopez-Hirata got his Ph.D. degree in 1990 from Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan. He has been a Full-Time Professor at the Department of Metallurgy and Materials of National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico City since 1990. His research areas are phase transformations and microstructural characterization in alloys.
