Da-Ming Du

Da-Ming Du was born in Henan (China) in 1967. He received his B.S. degree from the Zhengzhou University, China, in 1989, and then he received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Nankai University, China, in 1992 and 1995. He took a Lecturer position at the Shandong University in 1995. He was promoted to an Associate Professor in 1997 at the Shandong University, and during this period, he was a Visiting Scholar at The Chinese University of Hong Kong from 1996 to 1997 and then a Postdoctoral Visiting Scholar at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 1998 to 1999. During the period from 1999 to 2001, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Peking University. He joined the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering of the Peking University as an Associate Professor in 2001. He moved to the Beijing Institute of Technology and was appointed as a Professor in 2008. He received the Thieme Journal Award in 2009. His research interests focus on the catalytic asymmetric organic synthesis and the development of new synthetic methodologies.
