Hiromi Omoe is a Deputy Director of the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development. She is a Veterinarian and also holds a Ph.D. degree in agriculture. She has researched various infectious diseases in several national institutes and safety assessment of industrial chemicals in a government agency. Omoe is interested in science and technology for public health management, especially for countermeasures against zoonoses and management of animal experimentation.
