Claus Ernst

Claus Ernst was born in Bad Homburg, Germany, in 1959. He received his Ph.D. degree from Florida State University, Fla, USA, in 1988. He has been a Faculty Member in the Mathematics Department at Western Kentucky University since 1988. His research specialization is in the area of physical knot theory, that is, in applications of knot theory to molecular biology, polymer physics, and chemistry.
