Xiaopeng Zhang serves as a Professor and as a Supervisor of Ph.D. candidates in Sino French Laboratory of Computer Science, Automation, and Applied Mathematics (LIAMA) and in National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition (NLPR), Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his Ph.D. degree majoring in computer graphics in the State key Laboratory of Computer Science, Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 1999. He worked as a Postdoctoral Follow of pattern recognition and intelligent systems in the Laboratory of Complex Systems and Intelligence Science, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, from March 1999 to March 2001. His research interests include computer graphics, digital geometry processing and pattern recognition, specialized in shape information analysis, complex scene reconstruction and visualization, and digital entertainment. He had more than 100 publications in journals and proceedings, including 15 papers indexed by SCI and 6 book chapters or books, and has 28 patents.
