Charalampos A. Dimoulas

Charalampos A. Dimoulas was born in Munich, Germany, on August 14, 1974. He received the Diploma in electrical engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Technology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1997, and the Ph.D. degree from the same Department, at November 2006. His doctoral thesis deals with long-term, multichannel audio-visual processing techniques for the study of human bioacoustic phenomena. His current scientific interests include data acquisition, audio-visual signal processing, multimedia content management, and description and retrieval within the MPEG-7 framework. In 2008, he received scholarship on postdoctoral research from the Research Committee of Aristotle University (after submission and positive evaluation of the proposed research project). Theme: “Advanced audio-visual processing and content management techniques: application to audiovisual production and new communication media environment,” Laboratory of Electronic Media, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, AUTh. In 2009, he was an Elected Lecturer at the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, AUTh (Laboratory of Electronic Media). Dimoulas's field of expertise is “Technology of Mass Communication Media (Management of audiovisual digital content in the electronic media).“
