Taras K. Antal

Moscow State University, Russia

Taras K. Antal received the M.A. degree in biophysics and the Ph.D. degree (biophysics and hydrobiology) from the Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), Moscow, Russia, in 1995 and 2000, respectively. Since 2000, he works at the Group of physiology and biochemistry of photosynthesis, Biophysical Department, Faculty of Biology, MSU. Presently, he serves as a Senior Researcher. His research interests focus on acclimation of photosynthetic apparatus to the nutrient deficiency stress, photosynthetic hydrogen production by green algae and cyanobacteria, and high-resolved light-induced chlorophyll fluorescence kinetics: analysis and application for testing photosynthetic capacity. He tightly collaborates with biophysical research groups in Turku University (Finland) and Uppsala University (Sweden) in study of primary photosynthetic reactions. He has 35 peer-reviewed publications in international journals including 2 reviews. Currently, he prepares thesis for the degree of Doctor of Science.
