Cesar Guerrero (Elda, Spain, 1972) received his B.S. degree in biology from the University of Alicante, Alicante, Spain, in 1995, and his Ph.D. degree from the University Miguel Hernandez (UMH) of Elche, Spain, in 2003 (awarded). Since 2003, he has been teaching at the Department of Environmental Sciences to obtain a B.S. degree (at UMH) and also an M.S. degree in analysis and management of Mediterranean ecosystems; (UMH-UA). His main research topics (past and current) are (i) forest fires effects in soils, (ii) waste management (organic wastes as soil amendments), (iii) soil quality indicators (mainly microbiological properties), and (iv) near infrared spectroscopy in soil science. Guerrero has authored and coauthored 39 articles in international (indexed) journals, 7 articles in nonindexed journals, and 15 book chapters, and he has presented more than 80 contributions in national and international scientific congresses. His H-index is 19, with more than 900 citations (since 1999).
