Chuanyue Wu

Chuanyue Wu is a professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, a member of the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute and a professor of McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine, University of Pittsburgh. Prior to his appointment in the University of Pittsburgh, he was a faculty member in the Department of Cell Biology and a member of the Cell Adhesion and Matrix Research Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Professor Wu received his Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh in 1990. He began his post doctoral training in biological sciences at the University of Pittsburgh and completed his training in the Samuel C. Johnson Medical Research Center at Mayo Foundation/Clinic in 1994. Professor Wu’s research focuses on cell-extracellular matrix adhesion, cell migration, cytoskeleton organization and cell survival signaling. He received several prestigious awards including the Edward C. Kendall Alumni Award for Meritorious Research from Mayo Foundation and the Edward Livingston Trudeau Scholar from the American Lung Association. Professor Wu has been a member of several journal editorial boards.
