Ole Rintek Madsen
Ole Rintek Madsen achieved his Ph.D. degree in 1997, his D.M.S. degree in 1999, and The National Health Service Management Diploma in 2004, and he is a holder of the M.D. degree. He is a Consultant Physician and an Associate Professor at the Department of Rheumatology, Copenhagen University Hospital, Denmark. His final university examination was at University of Copenhagen in 1989. Madsen is a specialist in internal medicine since 2000 and in rheumatology since 2003. He had several previous employments at departments of internal medicine and rheumatology, Copenhagen, Denmark. He has more than 50 publications in international journals and more than 100 posters and oral presentations at international conferences. His research is mainly within the fields of osteoporosis, spondyloarthropathies, and clinimetrics; collaborative clinical research on biological treatment, including multicenter studies, as a coinvestigator and principal investigator. Madsen was a Member of the international EULAR Scientific Programme Committee (2008-2009) and a Member of Danish Steering Committee for the multinational 3E project for management of rheumatic disorders (2007).
