Sante D. Pierdomenico
Sante D. Pierdomenico was born in 1961. In 1980, he received the General Certificate of Education, Liceo Scientifico Satale Filippo Masci, Chieti, Abruzzo, Italia. He received an M.D. (cum laude) from the the G. D'Annunzio University, Chieti, Abruzzo, Italia, in 1986. He specialized in cardiology, and completed his thesis cum laude in 1991 from the the G. D'Annunzio University, in 1995, Pierdomenico completed a thesis in gastroenterology (cum laude), at the G. D'Annunzio University. In 1986–1995, he was a Clinical and Research Fellow (Division of Internal Medicine, and Hypertension and Atherosclerosis Units, G.D'Annunzio University), and he was an Assistant Professor at the same division in 1995–2002. Still in the same division, Pierdomenico has been an Associate Professor of internal medicine since 2004. His research areas include hypertension (ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, left ventricular hypertrophy, and epidemiology), atherosclerosis, and oxidative stress. Pierdomenico wrote original articles in international journals with Impact Factor 76, and he authored more than 100 abstracts presented at international and national meetings.
