Marcelo Feijo Mello

Marcelo Feijo Mello graduated from Faculdade de Ciencias Medicas da Santa Casa de São Paulo (1984) in medicine, with residency training in psychiatry at Hospital do Servidor Público Estadual (1985-87). Mello obtained M.S. (1992) and Ph.D. (1995) degrees at Hospital do Servidor Público Estadual, Ph.D. degree in psychiatry by Federal University of Sao Paulo (2002), and postdoctoral fellowship in neurosciences at Brown University (2002-2003). Mello served as Associate Professor in psychiatry at Santa Casa de São Paulo (1996-1998) and serves as Associate Professor in psychiatry at Federal University of São Paulo (2010-present). Mello is the Founder and Coordinator of the Program for Research and Treatment on Trauma and Violence and President of the Commission for Working and Studies on Violence of Brazilian Psychiatric Association (2014-present).
