Cavus Falamaki

Cavus Falamaki was born in 1964 and he serves presently as an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT), Tehran, Iran. He got his Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering from AUT in 1996 and has been a Ph.D. exchange student at the Laboratory of Crystallography, Zeolite Group, Federal Polytechnic of Zurich (ETH), Zurich, Switzerland, in the period of 1995-1996. He worked for ten years in the Department of Ceramics at the Materials and Energy Research Center (MERC, Iran) before joining AUT. His main topics of interest are zeolites and pseudozeolites, ceramic membranes, and SPR sensors. He has been awarded as Distinguished Researcher (MERC, 2006), Top Ten National Researchers in Nanotechnology (2007) and received a Silver Award, Cyber International Genius Inventor Fare 2011, Seoul, Republic of Korea, for a patent on a new zeolitic adsorbent. He holds a European patent on the manufacture of colloidal silica.
