Anders Rydberg received the M.S. degree from Lund Institute of Technology, Sweden in 1976. He worked between 1977 and 1983 at the National Defence Research Establishment, Linkoping, Sweden, ELLEMTEL Development Inc., and at the Onsala Space Observatory, Gothenburg, Sweden. He received the Ph.D. degree and was appointed a Docent (Associated Professor) at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden in 1988 and 1991, respectively. Between 1990 and 1991, he worked as a Senior Research Engineer at Farran Technology Ltd., Ireland. He was appointed as an Associated Professor and a Professor in applied microwave and millimeterwave technology at Uppsala University, Sweden in 1992 and 2001, respectively. He is heading the Microwave Group at the Department of Engineering Science, Uppsala University and since 2007, he has been the Joint-Owner of Integrated Antennas AB, Uppsala, Sweden. Professor Rydberg has authored and coauthored more than 190 publications in the area of micro- and millimeterwave antennas, sensors, solid state components, and circuits and has three patents in these areas. Moreover, he is a Member of the editorial boards of the IEEE-MTT, an Adjunct Member of Sections B and D of the Swedish Member Committee of the International Union of Radio Science (URSI) (SNRV), a Chairman for the Swedish IEEE MTT/AP Chapter, and a Member of the General Assembly of the EuMA.
