Georgios Stamatas has received his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece followed by a Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering from Rice University, Houston, USA. He has worked in biomedical research in Houston and in New Jersey and is currently a Research Fellow with Johnson & Johnson in France. He has more than 12 years experience in skin biophysics and development of noninvasive methods for skin studies on humans. His research interests include skin physiology, infant skin maturation, skin aging, skin microbiome, and skin photobiology. Dr. Stamatas has coauthored more than 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals including several book chapters and a book on infant skin photobiology.
