Emma Previato

Emma Previato is a Professor of mathematics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Boston University, Mass, USA. Previato received her Ph.D. degree from Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass in 1983 under the supervision of David B. Mumford. She has worked on the interface of algebraic geometry and mathematical physics. Theoretical areas of interest include moduli spaces of curves and vector bundles and coding theory or cryptography in positive characteristics. Previato's Editorial experience includes: Advances in Algebraic Geometry Motivated by Physics, Contemporary Mathematics, vol. 276, American Mathematical Society (2001), Dictionary of Applied Mathematics for Scientists and Engineers CRC Press (2003), Grassmannians, Moduli Spaces, Vector Bundles, Clay Mathematics Proceedings, CMI/AMS publication (2011) together with D.A. Ellwood, besides serving on the Editorial Board of the Albanian Journal of Mathematics.
