Parvesh Wadhwani

Parvesh Wadhwani was born in New Delhi in 1972. He received his B.S. degree and M.S. degree in science (with honors) in 1995 from University of Delhi (India) and Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) in 2000, during which he successfully qualified lectureship test conducted by council of scientific and industrial research. After a short postdoctoral research at IITD, Wadhwani joined the group of Professor Anne Ulrich at University of Jena (Germany) and moved towards the field of peptides and membrane biophysics. Since 2005, he has been a Group Leader at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where his research interests are focused on peptide synthesis, 19F-amino acids, antimicrobial peptides, cell penetrating peptides, fusogenic peptides and optimization of peptide properties, peptide lipid interactions, membrane biophysics, fluorescence spectroscopy, CD-spectroscopy, and solid state NMR spectroscopy.
