Xijiang Lin received his B.S degree in electrical engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology, Chengdu, China in 1990, his M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China in 1993, and his Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from University of Iowa, Iowa City, in 1998. Since 1998, he has been working at Mentor Graphics Corporation, Wilsonville, Ore, as a Technical Staff Member on the development of commercial Automatic Test Pattern Generation tools, including FastScan, TestKompress, and FlexTest. Lin's main research interests include design-for-testability, fault modeling, test generation, test compression, and low power testing. He has published more than 35 technical papers in various IEEE journals, international conferences, and workshops, and he is a coinventor of several US and international patents. He was a corecipient of the 2009 Best Paper Award at the IEEE Asian Test Symposium.
