Ahmed Rady serves as Senior Lecturer of psychiatry at Alexandria University. He is a graduate of Alexandria School of Medicine, Egypt. He received a residency in neuropsychiatry at Alexandria University Hospital then earned a clinical fellowship in adult psychiatry at University of Paris VII and a clinical fellowship in addiction psychiatry at University of Paris XI. He holds postgraduate diplomas in cognitive behavioral therapy (Reims), practical addictology (Paris), biostatistics (Bordeaux), and clinical research methodology (Bordeaux). He received complementary education in hypnosomatic therapy (Paris) and systemic therapy (Lille). He is a Professional Member of the Institute of Clinical Research. He is an Accredited Member of the French Association of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy. He was awarded the World Certificate of Psychotherapy, Vienna, and an Elected Member of the World Council for Psychotherapy. He is a Life Fellow and Diplomate and Editorial Advisory Board Member of the American Psychotherapy Association. Diplomate of the National Board of Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists (USA) and a Fellow and Diplomate and Regional Director for Middle East and Africa of the American Board of Medical Psychotherapists. He serves as a Member of the European Psychiatric Association and its Psychotherapy Section. He acts as a Member of the International College of Neuropsychopharmacology and the French Association of Biological Psychiatry and Neuropsychopharmacology. He serves as an Editor In Chief of the Internet Journal of Psychiatry and as a Coeditor of Medical Practice and Reviews. He is a Member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Annals of American Psychotherapy, World Journal of Life Sciences and Medical Research, Clinical Reviews and Opinion and Journal of Clinical Medicine and Research. He (co)authored many peer-reviewed articles in psychiatry, psychotherapy, and neuroscience.
