Fabrizio Stracci graduated in medicine with first class honors at the University of Perugia, Italy, in 1994, discussing a thesis on the cluster analysis of large bowel cancer incidence. He specialized in public health (hygiene and preventive medicine) at the same University in 1998. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2005 at the University of Camerino, discussing a thesis on breast cancer in elderly women. Since 2008, he has been a Researcher in public health in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Perugia. He is Professor of public health, epidemiology, and biostatistics in the School of Medicine, University of Perugia. His main research interests include cancer epidemiology, public health, and health services evaluation. He has been Coordinator of the regional Cancer Registry of Umbria, Italy, and Member of the International Association of Cancer Registries (IACR), as well as author of over 55 scientific papers published in national and international peer reviewed journals.
