Barry L. Eppley
Barry L. Eppley is in private plastic surgery practice in Indianapolis Indiana. He is a Former Tenured Professor of plastic surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine Indianapolis, Ind, USA. Dr. Eppley received a Doctor of Medicine degree from Washington University in St. Louis as well as a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He completed residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as plastic and reconstructive surgery. As a result of his education, Dr. Eppley is both a licensed physician and a dentist and he is a double board-certified in two surgical specialities. Moreover, Dr. Eppley has a prominent international experience in the investigation and development of numerous technologic advances in plastic surgery. He has been the recipient of numerous National Institute of Health and private corporate research grants and studies for the evaluation of promising surgical technologies and implants. As a result, he has been awarded nine U.S. and international patents on biomedical technologies. His research and clinical efforts have resulted in extensive contributions to the surgical literature including over 225 journal articles and 35 book chapters. He has also coauthored two textbooks on facial surgery entitled Maxillofacial Trauma and Esthetic Facial Reconstruction and Essentials of Maxillofacial Surgery and 3 consumer books on plastic surgery: Face the Facts: An Inside Look at Plastic Surgery, Injecting Youth: Changing the Face of Plastic Surgery, and Facial Sculpting: Plastic Surgery of the Facial Bones available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Eppley is a nationally and internationally sought after speaker on numerous plastic surgery topics. He has given over 200 presentations in 21 countries over the past 16 years.
