Umesh Yadav received M.S. degree (life sciences) in 1997 and a Ph.D. degree (biochemistry) in 2004 from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. His areas of expertise include lung pathophysiology especially inflammation initiation and progression in respiratory diseases including asthma and COPD, oxidative stress mechanisms, signaling mechanism in inflammatory diseases, cell survival and cell-death, cell differentiation and cell migration, angiogenesis, cell-cycle regulation, and immune modulation and regulation. In 2010, he was promoted as Faculty of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX, USA, while from 2004 to 2010, he acted as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX, USA. Currently, Yadav is working as Assistant Professor in the School of Life Sciences, Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar, India.
