Umesh Yadav received his M.S. degree in life sciences in 1997 and his Ph.D. degree in biochemistry in 2004 from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. His areas of expertise include lung pathophysiology especially inflammation initiation and progression in respiratory diseases including asthma and COPD, oxidative stress mechanisms, signaling mechanism in inflammatory diseases, cell survival and cell death, cell differentiation and cell migration, angiogenesis, cell-cycle regulation, and immune modulation and regulation. In 2010, he was promoted to the Faculty of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX, USA, while from 2004 to 2010 he acted as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX, USA. In 2013, Dr. Yadav joined the School of Life Sciences, Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar, India, as an Assistant Professor.
