Umesh Yadav received in 2004 a Ph.D. degree (biochemistry) and in 1997M.S. degree (life sciences) from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India, and 1994 B.S. degree (botany, zoology, chemistry) from Allahabad University, Allahabad, India. His areas of expertise include lung pathophysiology especially inflammation initiation and progression in respiratory diseases including asthma and COPD, oxidative stress mechanisms, signaling mechanism in inflammatory diseases, cell survival and cell-death, cell differentiation and cell migration, angiogenesis, cell-cycle regulation, and immune modulation and regulation. In 2010, he joined the Faculty (Instructor-Research) of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX, USA, while from 2004 to 2010, he acted as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX, USA.
