Xinzhu Meng serves as an Associate Professor of mathematics at the Shandong University of Science and Technology, Shandong, China, and received his Ph.D. degree from the Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China, in 2008. He has done a postdoctoral research at the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics at the Umea University, Umea;, Sweden and also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in ecology at the Institute of Botany, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. The majority of his research has been in the area of theory and application of differential equations. In particular, his research is focused on mathematical biology such as population dynamics, epidemic models, evolutionary dynamics, and so forth. He has published more than 50 papers which have been cited more than 300 times.
