MD Anwarul Hasan

MD Anwarul Hasan is a final-year Ph.D. student at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta, Canada. Earlier, he obtained his M.S. degree in mechanical engineering in 2005 from Kongju National University, South Korea, and B.S. degree in mechanical engineering in 2003 from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technoloty, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He worked as a research engineer at the Nano-Mechanical Systems Research Centre of Korea Institute of Machinary and Materials (KIMM), Daejeon, South Korea, from February 2005 to August 2005. His research interests include metal foams, thin films, nanoindentation, bioaerosol generation and control, rheology, and nano-microstructure of bitumen and asphaltenes. He has authored and coauthored about ten international jounal papers and a dozen of conference proceedings. During his Ph.D. study at the University of Alberta, he has been awarded an FS Chia Ph.D. scholarship, an Alberta Ingenuity Ph.D. scholarship, a Lung Association of Alberta Ph.D. scholarship, a Nanotechnology Ph.D. scholarship of Alberta Ingenuity Fund, and an NSERC-JSPS Summer research scholarship in Japan.
