Annamalai S. Kumar

Annamalai Senthil Kumar works as a Professor in The Environmental and Analytical Chemistry Division, Vellore Institute of Technology University, India. He obtained his Ph.D degree from the Department of Physical Chemistry, University of Madras, India in 2000. Kumar was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Professor J.-M. Zen’s Laboratory, National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan for about 7 years, from 1998 to 2005, and as Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellow with Professor Tanase, Nara Women’s University, Japan for 2 years from 2005 to 2007. His research interest includes interdisciplinary areas of nanomaterial, physical, and analytical chemistry in particular of designing and application of nanostructured chemically modified electrodes, encapsulation of organic and pharmaceutical molecules within carbon nanotubes, electrocatalysis, nanoparticles, and chemical and biosensors. He has published over 85 international publications.
