Pablo Varona
Pablo Varona received his degree in Theoretical Physics in 1992 and the PhD in Computer Science in 1997 from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (UAM). He was a postdoc and later an assistant research scientist at the Institute for Nonlinear Science, University of California, San Diego. Since 2002 he is an associate professor at the Escuela Politecnica Superior, UAM. Among his main research interests are transient dynamics in neural systems, the design of novel activity-dependent stimulation protocols for neuroscience research, and bio-inspired neural networks, robotics and devices.
