Malcolm Smith

Malcolm Smith is the Director of Rheumatology, Southern Adelaide Health Services Inc., Ill, USA. He has practiced rheumatology for 25 years. He has trained as an arthroscopist and undertakes arthroscopy for synovial biopsies for research purposes. He also supervises the Biological Therapies Clinic which was established 5 years ago and has over 200 patients with outcomes on these patients. He is involved in running several clinical trials looking at biological therapies in rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus. Smith is the author of over 200 refereed papers published in inernational rheumatology journals and 4 book chapters. He is a referee for all the major international rheumatology journals.
