Sridha Sridharan

Sridha Sridharan has a B.Sc. (electrical engineering)
degree and obtained an M.Sc.
(communication engineering) degree from
the University of Manchester Institute of
Science and Technology (UMIST), UK, and
a Ph.D. degree in the area of signal processing
from the University of New South
Wales, Australia. He is a Fellow of the Institution
of Engineers, Australia, a Senior
Member of the Institute of Electrical and
Electronic Engineers—IEEE (USA), and the Chairman of the IEEE
Queensland Chapter in Signal Processing and Communication. He
is currently with the Queensland University of Technology (QUT)
where he is a Professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic
Systems Engineering. Professor Sridharan is the Leader of the Research
Program in Speech, Audio, Image and Video Technologies
(SAIVT) at QUT and is a Deputy Director of Information Security
Institute (ISI) at QUT. In 1997, he was the recipient of the Award of
Outstanding Academic of QUT in the area of research and scholarship.
