User Biography : Prof Feng-Biao Guo Feng-Biao Guo finished his doctorial study in TianJin University in February 2006. Now he is an associate professor and Ph.D. supervisor of Bioinformatics at UESTC (University of Electronic Science and Technology of China). He has been engaged in the study of bioinformatics since 2001. His research interests currently focus on computational and evolutionary genomics of microbes. Feng-Biao Guo has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers in international journals. Up to now, his papers have been cited over 400 times. One of his first-authored papers has been recommended by Janet Thornton, the director of European bioinformatics institute, as one of the ‘Faculty of 1000’ paper. ZCURVE 1.0, which is one of the softwares developed by him, has been used in about 100 laboratories or institutes all over the world. This software was once utilized in researches published in top journals such as Cell, Nature Methods, Plos Biology and PNAS et al. Dr. Guo often serves as reviewer for international journals such as Nucleic Acids Research, Biochimie, Microbiology-SGM, BMC Microbiology, Journal of Theoretical Biology, Biosystems, Journal of Biomolecular Structure and Dynamics, International Journal of Endocrinology, Computational and Mathematical Methods in Medicine, African Journal of Microbiology Research, International Journal of Bioinformatics Research and Applications, Microbial Informatics and Experimentation. He was once awarded 5 academic prizes by different institutes in China. Very recently, he was chosen as one of the 7 young teachers of UESTC with the best academic records. He has been the principal investigator of two projects funded by Ministry of Education and SiChuan province of China. Now he is in charge of two projects funded by NSFC. In 2011 and 2021, he served as guest editor of the jounals Current Genomics and Current Bioinformatics.
