See-Jo Kim is a Professor of mechanical design engineering at Andong National University, Korea. Kim received his B.S. degree from Yonsei University and received both his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Korea. The title of Ph.D. thesis is “ Study of three-dimensional mixing characteristics in the single-screw extrusion process.” Joining the faculty at Andong National University in 1995, Kim built the Advanced Materials Processing (AMP) Laboratory and became a full professor in 2006. Kim has been in USA as a Visiting Professor in polymer engineering and science at University of Akron in 1997 and in chemical engineering at University of Minnesota in 2007. Research areas are in the polymer processing, mixing, computational rheology, modeling, and simulation of multiphase and multiscale physics, suspension and emulsion, coating processing, nonlinear impact dynamics, CAD/CAE software development, and so on.
