Weidong Gao

Weidong Gao was born in Dalian, China, in 1963. He received M.S. degree from Northeast Normal University, China , in 1988 and Ph.D. degree from Sichuan University, China, in 1994. From 1988 to 1994, he was an assistant professor at Northeast Normal University, China. From 1994 to 1996, he was a postdoctor at Dalian University of technology. From 1996 to 1997, he was an associate professor at Beijing University of posts and telecommunications. From 1997 to 1998, he visited Graz University, Austria, for one year and was supported by Lise-meitner postdoctor fellowship. From 1998 to 2004, he was a full professor at China University of Petroleum(Beijing). Since 2005 he has moved to Nankai University as a full professor. His main research interests are number theory, combinatorial number theory and group ring theory.
