Jeroen J. G. Geurts is a clinical neuroscientist working at the Departments of Pathology and Radiology of the VU University Medical Center in Amsterdam. His research focuses mainly on grey matter abnormalities in multiple sclerosis. He obtained his Ph.D. degree with honors and has published and lectured extensively on the subject of grey matter damage and postmortem imaging in MS. He currently supervises a team of five Ph.D. fellows as well as nonscientific staff (the Grey Matter and Cognition Group), all working on grey matter damage in MS and ranging in their approach from the basic pathological and cell biological perspective to postmortem and in vivo imaging and clinical implementation.
