Young Ho Park
Young Ho Park works as an Associate Professor at the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at New Mexico State University. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Iowa. He has received numerous awards including Korean Education Ministry Government Scholarship (1989), Outstanding Faculty Award and Outstanding Teacher Award from NMSU ASME/Pi Tau Sigma Student Chapters (2001, 2003), Mechanical Engineering Innovative Teaching Award (2003), and Professor of the Year Award (2003) from Mechanical Engineering Academy. His main research interests involve computational mechanics, atomistic simulation, and statistical modeling. He has published more than fifty papers in well-recognized journals and conferences. Presently, he serves as an Associate Editor of ASME Journal of Pressure Vessel Technology and serves as a Reviewer for various journals including ASME Journal of Mechanical Design, Journal of Optimization and Engineering, Journal of the Franklin Institute, and Journal of Material Processing Technology.
