Guosong Wu received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in materials engineering from Hohai University, China, in 2000 and 2003, and Ph.D. degree in materials engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 2007, respectively. After he obtained his Ph.D. degree, he joined the Chinese Academy of Sciences as Postdoctoral Research Fellow of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics in 2007. He was subsequently promoted to Associate Professor of Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering in Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010. Later, he joined the City University of Hong Kong and worked in Plasma Laboratory as Senior Research Associate (2010–2013) and Research Fellow (2013). His research activities focus on corrosion, surface engineering, and magnesium-based biomaterials. He has published about 50 international journal papers and worked as editorial board member for 2 international journals and reviewer for 15 international journals.
