Guosong Wu received his Ph.D. degree in materials engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2007. After obtaining his Ph.D. degree, he joined the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, as a Postdoc Research Fellow of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics in 2007. He was subsequently promoted to Associate Professor of Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2010. Later, he joined the City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, and worked at Plasma Laboratory as a Senior Research Associate (2010 to 2013) and a Research Fellow (2013 to 2014). His research interests include magnesium alloys, surface engineering, and thin solid films. Wu has published more than 50 international journal papers and worked as an editorial board member for 2 international journals and a Reviewer for 16 international journals.
