Ala-Eddin Al Moustafa
Ala-Eddin Al Moustafa received his B.S. degree in biological sciences from Aleppo University, Aleppo, Syria, in 1982, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in developmental biology from Paris XIII University, Paris, France, in 1988 and 1992, respectively. He held many positions including a postdoctoral position at the Lady Davis Institute/McGill Center for studies in aging, Montreal, QC, Canada (1992-1993); a postdoctoral position at the Montreal General Hospital, Montreal, QC, Canada (1993–1995); a Research Associate position at the Department of Biochemistry, McGill University and Biotechnology Research Institute of CNNC, Montreal, QC, Canada (1995–1999); a Senior Research Associate position at the Lady Davis Institute/JGH/McGill Center for translational research in cancer, Montreal, QC, Canada (1999–2002); and an Assistant Professor at the Oncology Department, McGill University, and the Project Director at the Montreal Centre for Experimental Therapeutics in Cancer, Lady Davis Institute, JGH, Montreal, QC, Canada (2002–2009). Currently, he has been an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Concordia University, Montreal, QC, Canada, since June 2008; an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Oncology, McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada, since September 2009; and the Director of the Syrian Research Cancer Centre, Syrian Society against Cancer, and an Associate Professor at the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, Aleppo University, Aleppo, Syria, since September 2009.
