Bronwyn M. Kivell

Bronwyn M. Kivell works as a Senior Lecturer in neurobiology at the School of Biological Sciences, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. She earned her Ph.D. degree in cell and developmental biology from Victoria University of Wellington in 2004, looking at the developmental expression of opiate receptors. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow at NIDA (NIH) before returning to Wellington. Her research is in investigating the behavioural and cellular effects of drugs of abuse. She is also interested in the development of new antiaddiction pharmacotherapies, particularly novel kappa opioid receptor agonists.
