Hubert Rahier

Hubert Rahier was born in Vilvoorde, Belgium. He received the Chemical Engineering degree in 1988 and the Ph.D. degree from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 1988 and 1995, respectively. Since 1988, he works in the field of advanced thermal analysis at the Physical Chemistry and Polymer Science Department. Presently, he serves as a Professor in inorganic chemistry and materials. His interest is in cement replacing materials in general, including phosphates and alkali activation. Another area of interest is hybrid materials and nanocomposites.
