Jae-Young Lim
Dr. Lim’s majority is musculoskeletal rehabilitation including sports medicine, geriatrics and interventional physiatry. The mission of current research is to investigate the key mechanisms of functional restoration and adaptation after injury, chronic diseases or aging in human. His laboratory focuses on muscle physiology: age-related changes of muscle elasticity, plasticity and apoptosis. Titin and calpain is his major concerning molecules of the muscle. His lab is equipped for DNA analysis and immunoassay to delineate the characteristics of these molecules. His clinical interest is moving towards the impact of chronic dysfunctions on quality of life in elders and cancer survivors.
