Detlef Dürr
Detlef Dürr is a Professor at the Department of Mathematics of the Ludwig-Maximilian-University, Munich. He graduated in 1978 in theoretical physics in Muenster. After four postdoctoral years in Rutgers in the group of Joel Lebowitz, he worked with Sheldon Goldstein and Nino Zanghi on foundational issues of quantum physics and statistical mechanics. He worked on Bohmian mechanics and on mathematical physics problems arising in the foundations of quantum physics. He is currently an Editor of the Springer Series Foundational Theories of Physics and a Vice Chair of the COST action MP1006 Fundamental Problems in Quantum Physics.
