Dr. Farid Abou-Rageh Harraz, an Associate Professor at Nanostructured Materials and Nanotechnology Division, Advanced Materials Technology Department. His Research interests include (Inorganic Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology, Thin Films and Multilayers, Nanofabrication of Inorganic Materials by Wet Processes, Hybrid Nanostructured Organic/Inorganic Materials, Nano- and Micro-Porous Silicon, and Nanostructured Conducting Polymers). Dr. Harraz has been awarded The Encouragement State Prize of Advanced Science Technologies (Basic Science 2009). The award has been given for his work in the field of preparation, characterization and performance evaluation of nanostructured porous silicon and its nanocomposites with both conducting polymers and metals in different shapes including nanoparticles, nanowires, nanotubes and nanorods for possible applications in the field of energy, sensors, data storage devices and microelectronics.
