Adriaan S. Luyt

Adriaan S. Luyt obtained his Ph.D. degree in chemistry at the Potchefstroom University (currently North-West University) in South Africa. After working in industry and for several other universities, he was appointed as Professor in physical chemistry at the Qwaqwa campus of the University of the North (currently the Qwaqwa campus of the University of the Free State) in South Africa in 1993, where he currently heads the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences. He has a research group of 5 masters and 9 doctoral students and one postdoctoral research fellow. His fields of research include polymer blends, composites, and nanocomposites. He has already published more than 150 papers, and his papers have been cited almost 1300 times.
