Muhammad Ayub

Quaid-i-Azam University, Pakistan

Muhammad Ayub was born in Sargodha, Pakistan in 1959. He received his M.S., M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees from the Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan in 1982, 1985, and 1992, respectively. Dr. Ayub has been teaching at the Quaid-i-Azam University since 1994 where he is a Professor at and Chairman of the Department of Mathematics. Dr. Ayub has completed his postdoc at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2002. His field of research is wave motion. He is mainly interested in solving the problems of acoustic waves using Wiener-Hopf technique. Dr. Ayub has won two gold medals from the Pakistan Academy of Sciences on the basis of his research work. Also, he has been awarded the Best Teacher Award from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. Dr. Ayub has supervised 8 Ph.D. and 40 M.Phil students till now. Moreover, he has published 77 research papers in internationally reputed journals and 64 out of them are published in ISI journals with high impact factors
