Maria Jose C. Carmona

Maria Jose C. Carmona graduated in medicine at University of Campinas (UNICAMP), SP, Brazil, with a specialization in anesthesiology and intensive care at University of São Paulo (USP), SP, Brazil. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the Discipline of Anesthesiology of University of São Paulo Medical School. Her Areas of interest include cardiovascular anesthesia, systemic effects of mechanical circulatory support, with emphasis on pulmonary effects and changes in the kinetics of drugs caused by cardiopulmonary bypass, and postoperative cognitive dysfunction.
