Daniela Romualdi was born in Rome on August 9th, 1975. He received the B.S. degree in medicine and surgery in 2000 from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC), Milan, Italy, with a research titled “Endocrine-metabolic issues of adolescence in relation to the reproductive function.” He obtained the board certification in obstetrics and gynaecology from UCSC in 2006, with a research titled “Adrenal function and hyperinsulinemia in the polycystic ovary syndrome: from physiopathology to clinical practice.” In 2010, he received the Ph.D. degree in physiopathology of human reproduction also from UCSC, with the research title of “Role of metformin in normal-weight women with polycystic ovary syndrome: effects on ovarian function and endothelial reactivity.” Romualdi has undergone training at the Division of Endocrinological Gynaecology, Columbus Hospital, Rome (1997-1998). He has also undergone training at the Hormonal Research Laboratory (1997-1998) and the Division of Dysfunctional Gynaecology (1999–2002), UCSC. Romualdi has been working as a 1st level Medical Executive at the Division of Dysfunctional Gynaecology, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, UCSC, since 2007. Since 2003, he has been a Member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology and Società Italiana della Riproduzione. In 2007, he was a Member of the American Association of Gynaecological Laparoscopy. Since 2012, he has been a Member of the Androgen Excess-PCOS Society. Romualdi has been an Investigator for a number of research Projects funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, since 2004. He has been involved in a number of research activities; since 1997, he has been undertaking clinical research in physiopathology of human reproduction and endocrinological gynaecology, and since 2004, he has been a Research Consultant for the Institute of Scientific Research Oasi, Troina (Enna)- Endocrinological aspects of Mental Retardation. Romualdi is an Author of more than 100 national and international publications.
