William Durante is a Professor of medical pharmacology and physiology at the University of Missouri. Prior to joining the University of Missouri, in 2006, he was an Associate Professor at the Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Durante obtained his Ph.D. degree in pharmacology from the University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada, in 1989. Dr. Durante's research interests include biology of endogenously derived signaling gases in blood vessels, regulation of amino acid transport and metabolism by vascular cells, hemodynamic forces, and vascular cell function.
