Florian Kuhnel

Florian Kuhnel is a biochemist and received his Ph.D. degree in 2001 at the Leibniz-University of Hannover, Germany. He worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Clinic for Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Endocrinology at Hannover Medical School and holds a position as a PI since 2005. His main interests are transcriptional and translational regulation of gene expression, viral vectors in gene therapy, oncolytic viruses as cancer therapeutics (mainly adenovirus and vesicular stomatitis virus), and immune responses in oncolytic virotherapy/vaccination strategies.
